Photonics West 2025

Meet Nanoscribe at Photonics West Expo in San Francisco!
The SPIE Photonics West is the largest annual international conference in optics and photonics that brings together researchers, innovators, engineers, and business leaders from all around the world.
The conference and exhibition highlights compelling optics and photonics technologies – from digital optics to quantum technologies to optical imaging, sensing, and metrology. Thereby, the miniaturization of optical and optoelectronic components is decisive for enabling data communication and telecommunication as well as sensing and imaging applications.
This year Nanoscribe will showcase the new Quantum X align and its Aligned Two-Photon Lithography (A2PL ®) technology. The system is the first high-resolution 3D printer with sub-micrometer alignment capabilities in all spatial directions and is designed to drive innovations in the field of photonics packaging. The Quantum X align now also features the groundbreaking 3D printing by 2GL®, the fastest 2PP-based microfabrication technology on the market.
Freeform microlenses can be directly printed, aligned and tilt-compensated to the optical axis of fibers and photonic chips, enabling Free Space Microoptical Coupling (FSMOC) between these elements. The printed freeform microoptics can shape light and convert the mode field according to the application, providing a highly robust solution for light coupling with minimal optical losses.
Don't miss our colleague Mareike Trappen's talk on “Scalable fabrication of aligned microoptics enabled by Two-Photon Grayscale Lithography” on Monday, January 27 at 11:05 am in the Moscone Center.
