Aligned 3D printing on photonic chips
Efficient microoptics for photonics packaging
and quantum technology

Webinar 08 Information

Interested in how to efficiently fabricate microoptical elements and interconnects on-chip for photonic integration and innovative communications applications? Then join the upcoming live webinar with three technology experts in new integrated photonic systems and photonics packaging applications. Get inspired with how 3D aligned microfabrication on photonic chips drives innovations in quantum physics based communication and light detection systems.

Experience the complete printing workflow including the print preparation with our new and most advanced software nanoPrintX in a live webinar demo. The live print with our microfabrication flag ship Quantum X align covers the automatic confocal detection of pre-defined fiducials on a photonic chip and a high precision print of microoptical interconnects perfectly aligned to theses markers.
Finally, learn about technologies, novel approaches such as aligned 3D printing, and innovative real-world applications for photonic chips with 3D printed high precision microoptics, integrated photonics and photonics packaging.

Prof. Wim Bogaerts, Professor in the Photonics Research Group at Ghent University and the IMEC nanotechnology research center in Belgium, will introduce in technologies, manufacturing strategies and future markets for integrated photonics and photonics packaging. A close look will be taken at emerging applications and the role of high-precision aligned 3D printing.

Dr. Wladick Hartmann, co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Pixel Photonics, will talk about quantum physics based communication systems, light detection applications and waveguide-integrated sensor solutions. In this context, precisely aligned 3D printing of microoptical elements on photonic chips will then be presented, as a crucial manufacturing approach.

Mareike Trappen, Senior Application Engineer at Nanoscribe, will give an introduction to the capabilities of Two-Photon Polymerization (2PP)-based microfabrication with a special focus on Aligned 2-Photon Lithography (A2PL®). She will introduce the capabilities of printing with precise alignment to the surface, edges, or waveguides of photonic chips with submicron accuracy and show the workflow with a live demo of Quantum X align.
