The new Extra Large Features (XLF) Print Set expands the manufacturing range for its high-precision 3D printer Quantum X shape from nano- and microscale structures to millimeter- and centimeter-sized objects, while maintaining particularly complex structures and filigree details. Thanks to the scalability of Two-Photon Polymerization (2PP), the XLF Print Set closes the gap to high-resolution SLA and DLP or projection micro stereolithography (PµSL). With the new XLF Print Set you benefit from large area batch production in highest surface quality and best shape accuracy.

Print XL parts.

With a total of four Print Sets, Quantum X shape offers an immense range of scales: from Small Features (SF) to Medium Features (MF) and Large Features (LF) and now to Extra Large Features (XLF). The new air objective of the XLF Print Set with a magnification factor of 5x and a large print field diameter of 3,500 µm open up completely new opportunities. Print millimeter- or centimeter sized parts with a height of >10 mm in one batch process. Thanks to the comparatively large working distance of 18.5 mm there are no limitations in packing density. Make use of the system’s full positioning area of 50 x 50 mm² and print volumes up to 30 cubic centimeters in one pass, or print many smaller objects on a large area in one batch process.

Print large parts with filigree features. Or many millimeter-sized parts with complex structures and fine details. You can print all these much faster thanks to the interplay of extremely high scanning speed, a large print field, a highly sensitive photopolymer resin and sophisticated laser beam guidance.
The XLF Print Set allows you to quickly produce prototypes for mechanical and microfluidic parts like housings, connectors, or nozzles. The batch production capabilities allow you to iterate quickly by sweeping over different structural or printing parameters. And for scaling up, molding inserts for microinjection molding can be printed on the same machine.

Precision – like speed – depends on the interplay of various factors. Thanks to Two-Photon Polymerization, a superior laser-based 3D printing platform and a sophisticated software, the Quantum X system achieves highest surface quality and best shape accuracy even with the XLF Print Set. With the wide range of adjustable slicing and hatching parameters and sophisticated print control strategies, precision and speed can be optimally balanced. The XLF Print Set thus supports a wide range of applications, from precise mechanical parts and molding inserts to large porous scaffolds for biomedical researchers.
